Facts went adrift on taxes, deregulation and more Thursday when Republican Sarah Palin and Democrat Joe Biden clashed in the vice presidential debate.
Analysis: While both vice presidential candidates succeeded in their only debate, the stakes were much higher for Sarah Palin. So, in the contest of low expectations, Palin won.

John McCain's campaign on Wednesday angrily called for an end to questions about Sarah Palin's background, calling it a "faux media scandal designed to destroy the first female Republican nominee" for vice president.
Barack Obama named Delaware Sen. Joe Biden as his vice presidential running mate early Saturday, balancing his ticket with a congressional veteran well-versed in foreign policy and defense issues.
Sorry Roger...There is little evidence to support the notion that only 6% of Conservatives are right-wing nutjobs. In the eyes of Moderates (the reason why conservatives lost the election), they represent a large portion of the Republican Party. They not only come off as ignorant, buffoonish and racist. Speaking as someone who knows a few "true" Republicans, I've been told that without the nutjobs the Republican Party would simply not be able to compete with the Democrats. A good friend of mine, who is also a Republican, once said how on God's green Earth could I ever get someone who earns significantly less than I do, will never have what I have and whose children were born to lift the likes of me EVER vote the way I want them to vote? Enter Joe the Dumba** Plumber.....Pathetic. You're right thought. The ONLY way the Republicans will compete next election is if they can find a Republican as intelligent as Obama. While the Democrats vote Democratic, Moderates tend to vote for the individual they deem the MORE INTELLIGENT. So far the Republicans aren't offering much. Have a good one.
From the posts that I've read of yours I'd have to say that you are one of the more critically astute readers/thinkers/writers on these boards. You're a breath of fresh air. Your POV allows your to be more objective than most. Keep up the objectivity and the keen observations about what's really what in our political arenas. Thanks again for your contributions to sound political discourse. ~Arrow

Roger, Thank you so much for your response! I really appreciate this information!! I am asking to be your friend because I would like to be informed of any new information and I like talking to fellow Christians. God Bless You!
Roger those of us who fought hard were punished and harassed. I wrote an e-mail to Bill Moyer on PBS when the war rhetoric began. He did an entire program on my e-mail and was removed from NOW. My phone is tapped. My mail comes with a tear in the corner. I have had a military helicopter hover over my home. Watch Fahrenheit 911. Those who spoke out were bullied. The FBI came to my job.
I make under $100,00 a year. But, I bet my taxes go up. And you know what when they do, you can spread the wealth and pay my share. I don't feel I should have to pay more after all, I didn't vote for him.
I do not know you or expect to, however, I am interested in some of your comments. I am a disabled Viet Nam vet and I have yet to encounter a vet you does not care what happen in Viet Nam. The next point neither Bush nor the two current candidates can correct the economy. In fact money being spent for the war can only be authorized by Congress. The president can only propose a budget, he can not introduce it or change it. He can veto it, period. If I was old enough to be involved in "TET", then I must be old enough to comment on several administrations. I have notice that no budget proposed by any president ever resembles the orginal when passed by Congress. Your clinic must by quite a place if the clients pay $1100 per month. Even the state/county employees of Wisconsin (who have the "cream of the crop" insurance don't pay that much, which their union has raised and the taxpayers pay for. The last time I was a judge at a college debate, I notice that all of the participants took notes. As Viet Nam vet you can not be that much younger that McCain and I wonder how well you would do in a national televised debate. The facts are that Rove is not on McCain's staff and has not been.
